In keeping with the latest research the 3 domains are now called: Social/emotional; Academic; and College and career readiness. ASCA is also seeking input on whether or not to change from calling us professional school counselors to licensed professional counselors. Thoughts?
I prefer to be called a Professional School Counselor because my background is education. If I wish to advance in the field of counseling, I will become a Licensed Professional Counselor. To me, it is the next step.
